Gregory J. Roehrig, MD

Dr. Roehrig was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He attended college in Baltimore, MD at Johns Hopkins University where he majored in Biology, enjoyed a successful four-year basketball career, and met his wife, Erin McFeely, M.D., a pediatrician and niece of Dr. Tozzi. After a brief respite from academics to play basketball in a European league, he returned to Johns Hopkins for medical school, with plans to pursue orthopaedics.

Greg and Erin were married in Long Island and completed their residency training at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital. They continued their training in Manhattan, and Dr. Roehrig sub-specialized as a fellow at the prestigious Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement with long-time New York Knicks team physician, Dr. W. Norman Scott.

Dr. Roehrig's orthopaedic focus will encompass patients of all ages -- the young athlete and the active adult, and those with arthritis of the hip, knee, and shoulder in need of joint replacement. In addition, his strong background and training in trauma affords him the ability to care for most fractures. He has authored and co-authored multiple orthopaedic publications, participated in clinical research, and presented at national meetings. He is committed to applying the latest evidence-based research to his practice and patient care, and attends national educational meetings annually to stay on the front-lines of advanced orthopaedic care and technology. He enjoys and firmly believes in actively engaging the patient in the process of understanding their orthopaedic diagnosis and deciding among the recommended treatment options.

During his time away from work, he enjoys his family, basketball, water-sports, and fly-fishing.
