Dr. Laurie L. Glasser was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and was raised in Tampa, Florida. She attended Emory University College, Emory University Medical School, and completed her Internal Medicine/Pediatric Internship at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She then completed her specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kessler Institute/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is double Board Certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is also known as Physiatry. This medical specialty specializes in the conservative (non-surgical care) of orthopedic injuries. A physiatrist is the name of the physician who practices Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Glasser treats and provides non-surgical options for a diverse range of conditions including sports injuries, spinal conditions, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and non-surgical orthopedic injuries. She has served as a team physician for three high school teams and two college basketball teams. |

Dr. Glasser’s professional goal is always quality and compassionate care for every patient. She specializes in musculoskeletal medicine (restoring patient’s function after an injury or illness). Dr. Glasser has published her research and has lectured and presented on many occasions. She recently authored a chapter, “The Spine In Bicycling”, in a recently published textbook, Spine & Sports. In
her spare time, Dr. Glasser is passionate about fitness, health, and
exercise. She enjoys many sports especially bicycling, dancing, and
yoga. |
